Exhibition and other Existing Prints
About Prints
If you want to own a different image, just let me know. Almost all images are available; a handful of images (mostly some sports and dance) belong to others even though I took them, so I can’t print those. I’m happy to work with you to get the exact type of print you want:
- custom sizes or square prints
- a color image in black and white (or sometimes the reverse)
- particular margins (white, black, larger, smaller, or none at all)
- particular papers or surfaces, metal prints, or gallery wraps
Prints do not have the watermark that appears on the web version.
Locally produced prints are signed on a card with the print.
Custom Print Prices
These are example prices; I can print in any size you like. Prices are subject to change on short notice: while all the printing is done domestically, the paper is mostly made overseas. I can print dye sublimation prints, and prices for custom options are the same as for existing prints: $10 for Mini Prints and $15 for Small Prints.

Mini and Small Prints
The mini prints (2.1 by 3.4 inch paper) and small prints (4 by 6 inch paper) are printed by me on dye-sublimation printers I have. The mini prints are technically also stickers, but I have never tried to use them that way and I have no info about them. It’s Canon paper, kind of glossy. There are samples in the galleries listed above. If you have other questions, drop me a line!
photo papers and surfaces
After a lot of research, I’m pleased to offer these paper options. If you have any questions, just drop me a line!
- Lexjet eSatin Premium Photo Paper
Pigment prints, produced near me; a bright white glossy surface with very-subtle lustre texture. - Moab Lasal Photo Matte
Pigment prints, produced near me; a bright white with an ultra smooth matte surface. They have about ten other papers and canvas, and a variety of mounting options – just ask!
- Fuji Photo Lustre
Not in the cart, but if you want a traditional chromagenic (wet process) photo prints this is the best paper around. My standard is to print on Lustre but can also print on Gloss. This is from a national lab, and prints will be shipped directly to you. They have other papers, and a variety of mounting options – just ask!
- Acrylic
Fine art inkjet prints, face mounted to 1/4 inch crystal clear acrylic, from a national lab. Various mounting options available. These prints will be edge to edge with no margin.
shipping and sales tax
Shipping includes print packaging and insurance. Shipping is $9 no matter how much you order. If you only order Mini or Small prints without a hard plastic print protector, I can put them in a first class envelope and shipping is only $2. Often, I can use your own shipping account if you like – let me know! I will pay whatever tax there is.
geographic note
I’m in America – prices are in US Dollars, and sizes are in inches.
If you’re in southwest Idaho – hi neighbor! Drop me a note and perhaps I can deliver prints in person.
guarantee
I guarantee satisfaction with color and print quality; if you’re not happy with a print, you may return it and I will reprint either a different version of the image or, if we decide it’s best, another image. (This has only been requested once in twenty-five years.)
sales terms and fine print and stuff
All custom printing is to order, so please allow three weeks for printing and shipping. Let me know if you have a deadline such as a birthday. (Sometimes it’s taken three days, but allow three weeks.) Prices are subject to change; shipping costs keep rising and affect lab prices. Prints are for private collections. If you’re looking for reproduction rights, or a license for advertising, commercial or editorial use, please contact me. (Advertising and commercial rights are not available for all images.)
a note on paper sizes and margins
Traditional paper sizes are usually in a 4×5 shape, similar to a CRT television or CRT computer monitor (they are actually 3×4, but it’s close). Traditional paper sizes include 5×7, 8×10, 16×20, and 20×24. Full frame paper sizes are more rectangular (often in a 2×3 shape) and include 8×12, 10×15, 11×16, 12×18, 16×24, and 20×30. If you want something in one of these paper sizes, just let me know!
Margins vary, but if you want something specific, such as edge to edge printing, let me know! (Acrylic prints automatically come that way.) On prints up to 8×12, margins are mostly about 1/4 inch on the sides, and the top and bottom margins vary with the aspect ratio of the image. On 10×15 and larger prints, it’ll be about 1/2 inch margin on the sides, and the top and bottom margins vary with the aspect ratio of the image. Still larger prints often have larger margins. I like to do a “self-matting” look on larger images, and on very large print, sometimes it’s two or three inches of a margin.

What’s with the dodgy product photos?
Sorry about that. I didn’t realize the LED bulbs I was using flicker so badly or that they would show every bit of dust on Earth. Someday I may try to redo them.
